This policy explains how Guardian Kenny Studios handles information in Terralus, including the Android app identified as com.guardiankennystudios.awoken, and on playterralus.com.
Game and cloud saves
Terralus stores game progress and settings on your device. Local saves include information such as your party, inventory, location, story progress, and play time. Local play does not require a separate Guardian Kenny Studios account.
On supported Android builds, the Cloud Sync feature uses Google Play Games Services to authenticate with your Google Play Games account and upload or retrieve saved progress. Google processes the account and service identifiers needed to associate the saves with your account. Save files and associated timestamps are sent to Google’s servers so you can restore progress or continue on another device. The studio does not receive your Google password.
You can continue using local saves when cloud sync is unavailable. Google Play Games settings control your platform sign-in and data. See Google’s privacy policy and Google’s instructions for deleting Play Games data.
The current game does not include advertising or a studio-operated behavioral analytics service. Platform services may process technical and diagnostic information under their own policies.
Website visits and signups
Netlify hosts this website and processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and requested pages, to deliver and protect the service. See Netlify’s privacy statement.
If you submit the signup form, you provide your name, email address, and any optional platform preference or message. Formspree processes the submission and makes it available to Guardian Kenny Studios. Formspree may also process technical information to deliver the form and prevent abuse. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
We use signup information to manage the Terralus tester list and respond to testing-related messages. We add your email address to the tester list in Google Play Console so Google can manage eligibility for the test. Google handles that information under its privacy policy. Contacting the studio by email also provides the address and information you include in that message.
This website does not install advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Links to services such as Amazon and social platforms take you to websites with their own privacy practices.
Retention, security, and deletion
We retain signup details while you are on the tester list. You can ask us to remove your signup and tester-list information by emailing guardiankennystudios@gmail.com. We will remove that information from the records we control. Our service providers may retain records for their own operational, security, or legal purposes under their policies.
Local saves remain on your device until removed. Cloud copies are managed through Google Play Games. Deleting a local save does not necessarily delete its cloud copy, and later synchronization can restore progress. To remove cloud progress, use Google’s Play Games data controls as well as the relevant local-device controls.
This website and its form use HTTPS. Access to signup messages is handled through the studio’s service accounts. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information outside your country, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.
Your choices and contact
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have submitted to the studio, or ask to leave the tester list, by contacting guardiankennystudios@gmail.com. We may need enough information to identify the relevant submission. Google account and Play Games data requests should also be directed through Google’s account controls.
The signup form is intended for people able to consent to joining the tester list. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.
We may update this policy as the game or website changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
